While Delaware County
currently does not have any zoning ordinances, city requirements may extend two
(2) miles beyond the corporate limits.
Building permits currently are not required in rural areas of Delaware County.
You should check to see if there are city requirements that extend beyond the
corporate limits.
Delaware County does require septic and well permits. More information with

Driveway permits are required for a
new entrance to a rural lot or acreage. Also any work within the right of
way does require a permit from the Delaware County
Secondary Road Department.
